For VMC, 2018 has been a very successful year. It was a year full of hard work, building and working with exciting new technology, international conferences, growing the team and our first pilot! We are very proud to have an up and running blockchain infrastructure.
It was also a year in which we saw the team mature and making professional steps forward. We are confident that in 2018 we built the foundation to make 2019 an even better year. Let’s make mobility better connected together!
Update blockchain bus
In our last update we announced the start of blockchain bus pilot in November. Currently, we are happy to share with you that the 12 blockchain busses are driving smoothly. So far, more than a hundred people have downloaded our app and taken the bus with the VAI-token. It was a big challenge to the team to get everything live in time, but together with our great and supportive partner we managed to get it done.
Special thanks to them! Expect more news and details after the pilot and its evaluation. However, if you are interested in taking the first blockchain bus yourself reach out to us to get more information.
VMC ASIA is a fact!
On our third trip to Singapore this year, VMC was part of the blockchain innovation mission of the Dutch government, as a preparation to the signing of an innovation agreement between the two countries at the state visit of the president of Singapore to The Netherlands. VMC was one of the startup companies that had the honor and privilege of joining this mission. In a full week, we had a lot meetings with government, business and university representatives. Besides this, we visited the Singapore Fintech Festival. We took part in a few pitching opportunities, alongside well known blockchain companies like Ziliqa and Ocean Protocol.
The week culminated in incorporating a company for the coordination of our Asian activities; VMC ASIA LTD. Hence, we are currently preparing the opening of an office in Singapore. This will probably be at BASH, the startup environment of SGInnovate, the deep tech platform supported directly by the Singaporean government.
